Time passes far to fast when you get involved in work. I wish it didn’t, I can see my life ending up like that of so many others. You need only get involved in something and BLAM, 8 weeks of your life have gone. Hell, if it was something other than work then it may not have been so bad. In a way I don’t feel it was wasted, I have learned much and done plenty but I still feel it went by far too fast. I need to do other things, unfortunately I can’t as much as I hate it and as much as I want to, I need to finish this semester, this year and overall this degree. (I get by on reminding myself it is now less than 1 year, 7 months and 6 days till I graduate. Or 583 days, or 83 weeks, or 13,992 hours, or 839,520 minutes, or 50,371,200 seconds… but who’s counting.)
I suppose that is a lame excuse for not having done anything, talked to any of you or posted anything here but it is all I have. (You apparently being my 600 spam robots and 5 family and friends.)
Personally though, I am quite glad these last couple of days are gone. Who knows what I had but luckily it turned out to not be that bad. Headache, sore throat the usual. What was worse than usual though was how stiff all my muscles were. I am reminded of the worse infections I have suffered from. It felt like I had gone 10 rounds with someone after a full work out.
I felt the onset with pain in the joints the night before, then for one day and mildly the next, my muscles were stiff and the joints were worse. It was that sort of pain that makes me laugh (Am I alone in that?), a strange stiff but weak muscle feeling that is not actually that painful. I am quite used to it now as it happens through my exercise anyway. Although after a day of rest on my computer (with stretching) I could hardly move and my wrist was dead. I swear I must have looked like an old man hobbling about the flat and struggling to get out of chairs. It is funny looking back on how I have gone through phases of different reactions to colds and flus and varying how often I catch them. Recently (last couple of years) I am not catching many and am not reacting too badly to them, there has been the odd exception though. I could get used to this.
Although if it was Swine Flu, as I am now cured I suppose it would be Gammon Flu no?
Humph, mumble, grumble. No, I do not want to be reminded it is only 47 shopping days till Christmas or even worse, that it is less than 4 weeks till my exams! (Cries in corner.)
