Well, we all knew I wouldn’t be able to keep to a regular update schedule while at Uni. I go into Uni, nothing happens, I come back, sleep and repeat. However for those interested why not head over to my project blog (also lacking in updates, until now!) and see what I have been spending ALL my time on. Later. 17/12/09
I…I…I’m not sure what to say. (- Literally Speechless.) It seemed to affect everyone differently. Some dismissed it, most loved it. I really loved it. It just suited me, it felt familiar almost. I think it is quite suited to my imagination, like one reviewer once said, it was almost like being in a dream. Words: Outstanding, beautiful, emotional, stunning, heart-breaking, funny. I do feel lucky to be one of the first to ever see it, I am so ridiculously happy right now. Incredible. Going to see it again? Only about another 6 times. The hype and discussion was making it out to be another 3D film. Albeit a legendary one. However I agree with James Cameron (the director), it really isn’t about the 3D, the story enthrals you, binds you and the world is incredibly immersive, almost real. I will add, the 3D makes it even more immersive, you are really there, you see all that the director wants you see. So stunning. There are no gimmicky bullets coming out of the screen, its all about the depth, the realism…. That will have to do until I get my head together. Take his and my word for it, GO SEE IT! (IN 3D). To quote a friend: Just came back from a pre-premier 3D viewing of Avatar. For those who don’t know, James Cameron developed a new 3D stereoscopic camera system (’Virtual Camera’) that allows him to see his actors turned into CG characters and set in CG environments in real-time while shooting and also lends extensive 3D depth to the images. CG effects are no longer an exclusive part of post-production that need to be inserted afterwards but can be viewed and altered during shooting according to the director’s and actors’ needs. Find all the details here and here: And now look forward to seeing it on the big screen in 3D (and nowhere else…)! End Quote 09/12/09

(Well…I am at least.) This pumpkin is pretty cool though. Here is how to make it. Going to see Up later tonight, I’ll write about it soon. It sounds amazing. Apologies for not writing anything recently, I have no internet and won’t get any for a while yet. Even then I will be strapped for spare time. Keep an eye on my project blog though as that will be updated more often than it has been. It can be found at the Rablcube link up there on the menu bar. |
